Charles Whitley
Charles Whitley is a Warren County Kentucky native and graduate of North Warren High School and Western Kentucky University. Following many years in sales and retail, including starting and operating Superior Supply in Smiths Grove KY for 15 years, Charles found his home as an auction professional in 2004.
Taking advantages of the educational opportunities available through both the Kentucky Auctioneers Association (KAA), where he served as Executive Director three differed times for a total of ten years, and the National Auction Association (NAA), where he earned his Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designation, Charles has continually sought to stay abreast of the latest auction technology and auction law. While associated with one of the most successful auction firms in Southcentral Kentucky, he created and managed the first online auction conducted in the region in 2011. Since then, he, along with his wife, Debbie (also an auctioneer) has managed hundreds of successful auctions, live and especially online only.
Mainstream Auctions has been formed to continue to provide outstanding auction service to both the sellers and the buyers. While focusing on all types of personal property auctions, we are fully prepared to work with our longtime associate company, J E Holland Property LLC, to handle your real estate auctions as well.

Debbie, a native of Hart County, KY, has resided in Bowling Green, KY since 1985 and retired from the City-County Planning Commission in 2010. It was soon after retirement that she acquired her Kentucky Real Estate License and followed that by acquiring her Apprentice Auctioneer License after completing coursework at the Kentucky Auctio
Debbie, a native of Hart County, KY, has resided in Bowling Green, KY since 1985 and retired from the City-County Planning Commission in 2010. It was soon after retirement that she acquired her Kentucky Real Estate License and followed that by acquiring her Apprentice Auctioneer License after completing coursework at the Kentucky Auction Academy in 2015.
It soon became clear that Debbie had a knack for putting auction lots together. After working with other auction firms for a few years, she and husband Charles started First Choice Auctions LLC, specializing in online auctions and continued operating it until it was sold when Charles was once again hired to serve as Executive Director to the Kentucky Auctioneers Association. She and Charles continued to provide contract auction services for other firms. A recent decision by one of those firms to discontinue personal property auctions prompted the creation of Mainstream Auctions.
Debbie’s ability to recognize the value items and to create auction lots which produce maximum return for the seller and her ‘never met a stranger’ personality makes her a valuable member of the Mainstream Auctions team.
